quick remap question on EFI models, is it needed?

If your V&H are too loud you can save your money trying the quiet baffles. They drop the sound level only 2-3 decibels. It will be a deeper sound but not very quiet. The suggestion for Screamin Eagles is a good one even though they are a bit louder than stock but still quiet enough to pass Fed noise standards.
a +1 for SE mufflers, I have em on my bike and like the sound... I get a few compliments and haven't had a complaint yet. Deep tone and relatively quiet. Sorry I can't help with the map question but I'm sure the dealer will sort it out

Another +1 for the SE pipes. If you go back to the stock pipes but leave high flow air cleaner on you need to keep the map as is. That is assuming that the dealer did the Harley download in the first place.
