I have the same problem with my Fatbob QD. I use electrical tape around the dock. Some people use o-rings, shrink wrap or heat shrink. These are all semi permanent solutions though. Some washers to space out the docks might be a better permanent fix.

Hello All,
I have QD's on my '06 FXD. The instructions for these parts explain that the docking point bushings (plastic/neopreme lined) could be rotated slightly as wear occures, and should be replaced if no clean spots can be found to maintain tightness.
I've replaced mine 2 or 3 time in the past 5 years, they don't cost much. It works for me.
