Default Rush Slip-on's with no Baffles??

I'm riding a 2011 Wide Glide with Rush 3" slip-on's and 2 1/4" baffles.
I kept the original 2-1 part of the 2-1-2 exhaust. Therefore I still have the CAT in the '1' section.

Is anybody out there running the 3" slip-on's with no baffles?

Will the CAT in the '1' section give enough back pressure if the slip-on's are 3" with no baffles?

Short answer is no. I went with no baffles on my 2011 Fat bob for a short time until I filled it with cycle shacks baffles and there was a very noticeable drop in torque due to no back pressure. It rocks and rolls after putting baffles in.

What KC said,

You need Baffles for torque. . jst sayn'

I actually have the 'QUIET' baffle in the Road Rage Long, and it really made a BIG difference. IMHO

A lot of baffles will fit. As said by kcoombe, the CS baffles are great. Strong beefy sound and enough back pressure to help with tuning. They're the same ones that were in the old SE mufflers but without the packing.

Well, I spoke with Rush tech support today. Based on their testing, the 2 1/4" baffle is ideal for my set-up where I've kept the original 2-1 section. Removing the baffles will reduce the back pressure too much and low end torque will suffer.

However, keeping the baffles but removing the mat wrap on each baffle will enhance the tone. Is anyone running baffles with out the mat wrap?
If so, how did it work out for you?
