Who has used them what are peoples take on them, is there a better choice for less money, if it's a decent setup where are the best prices to pick it up? I'm still on the fence on lowering, like the look but don't want lose function either, I can handle a stiffer ride, but don't want to be draggen all over the place. Educate me on lowering my Dyna.
Any time you lower your bike you are giving up a little bit more comfort, if you slam your bike it's going to look awesome but the ride will suffer, if you've got a good back do it now.
Just comming back from Vermont and checked out the flood damaged roads.
Bad roads means rough ride.
Glad I installed (longer) shocks. 12.6 is a good length.
All I can say is wow to the devistation I seen.
I have the Burly Slammers in the rear, stock up front. I love the feel and the look. I have them tightened up to the 3rd step and the only time I have ever bottomed out was when I hit a pot hole doing 70mph. I just keep an eye out for the holes and bumps. I use forwards, but left the mids in place so I can stand on them when I do hit a hole or bump. I have riden two up many ah times with out any issues.
I have the burley on the rear only. Like you, I want to lower my front now because I'm not a fan of the look with the fronts still at stock height with my fxdwg.
As far as ride goes, I can not tell a difference. I have mine on the least stiff setting and I don't bottom out. I only weigh 145lbs though.
Best mod to my bike so far. If you ride hard you will scrape. I only scrape when I ride with my buddy who has a ducati trying to keep up with him. He ain't the best rider so its not all that hard. ha ha
When I ride by myself or with other harley's I never rub anything.
