Bike Chirping
I know this has been discussed lots already and ive read all the threads i could find on the topic. I still cant find the source of this squeek or chirling sound, it deffinately sounds like its coming from my exhaust. I can hear it while bike is at idle but is very load on decel, i have checked the belt-held it while bike was running and no change in sound, ive changed pipes, removed baffles, tightened motor mounts and exhaust mount bolts and brackets. Im getting rather frustrated and sick of this noise, any other suggestion from people that have dealt with this would be much appretiated. 2010 wide glide, se 103 kit heads ported and polished 10-1 comp. 255 cams bassani 2-1 road rage exhaust thunder max with AT........Thanks
I had a squeak that occurred at idle, but went away as I rev'ed the bike. I swore it was my exhaust, until I put my hand on the rear fender to crouch down. It turned out to be the strut to fender interface.
Does the sound stop if you grip the exhaust (gloved hands)?
Good luck hunting.

Coupla thoughts...
Air cleaner? That's pretty close to the exhaust. You can get some chirping noises from the breather ports depending on what air cleaner you have.
Gas cap? Try taking it off and seeing if the chirping stops.

I got a minor squeek I could not find the source for a while and turned out to be the rear left shock. Being yours you say sounds like youd exhaust, you sure it s not your rear right shock? Just a thought I have yet to solve the issue howver just know what it is. Good Luck

Spray silicone on all rubber mounting components.
Fenders would have been my first guess.
The fact you only hear it while setting at an idle means you just need to ride down the road and stop setting idling ...lol

It seems to me its coming from the exhaust or internally. I can hear it while the bike is idleing which would rule out most of what been mentioned and it gets loader and way more annoying while riding. Seems to do it the worst on decel. Im not being a picky bike owner that is looking for stuff either, its really load and obvious. Well thanks for the input so far, hopefully a suggestion comes along that i havnt tried and it works. Thanks
