The Dyna Manual for my 2011 FXDC says on page 22 in Table 11:
oil tank with filter takes 3 quarts
trans takes 1 quart
chaincase also takes 1 quart
But on page 84 item 7 under "Changing Oil and Filter" says use 2.5 quarts of oil for capacity refill.

yup i agree 3 is dry, if you look up the spec it says 2.5wet / 3dry
