Default 2012 FXDWG Fork Seal Leaking?

Hey guys. I've got a 2 week old 2012 Dyna Wide Glide that has a very distinct dirt / oil ring about 2/3 of the way down one of the fork tubes. I've cleaned it off several times but I'm assuming this is due to a faulty seal but wanted some opinions before going to the dealer. Any input would be appreciated.

Had the same problem on my '11, must be some sort of assembly lube the factory uses during assembly because the rings disappeared after about 2 weeks of riding.

I and a few more here have had the same issue. I just had it in for my 1K and harley said it is from assembly and will go away. They said if it was leaking it would be all over the place.

Another here said his went away at about 2k never to reappear.

I think its assembly lube that seeping when it gets hot.

Keep an eye on it.

Mine has it too. Do you guys have the assembly lube at the base of your cylinders on the clutch side and in the front of the motor at the crank sensor as well? The spot under the crank sensor ran down about 4 inches. Dealer said assembly lube. Maybe it's just easier to see on the flat black motor?!

+1 2011 FXDWG and it eventually lightens up and you don't really see it anymore.

My 2009 fxdc went through 3 sets of seals on right side before dealership replaced tube assembly a few weeks ago. So far it looks good. Mine had oil running down tube after a ride, not just a ring.
