I think I beat Anubisss to the punch with this one.

I've seen a few mention their mods in other threads but I figured we needed a place to list them so everyone could see what we're doing with the winter months without searching through multiple threads.

Here's mine for my '98 FXDS...
Install an Andrews EV27 cam
K&N filter
Do some restructuring in the carb
Anodize the front end
Anodize just the lifter box center spacers

Cmon' give us MORE IDEAS, like we really need more.

Wrap the pipes
Bob fender
Sparto taillight
Front turn signal relocation
LED turn signals

AND

If we get a good amount of snow, enough to keep me off the road for a month or more:

95" kit with Andrews cams
Internal handlebar wiring

It all depends on how the winter weather goes. If it's a dry year I'll just do the pipes.

Winter tasks.
Fit:
6-pot Harrison Billet calipers front & rear.
Hagon rear shocks, Progressive fork springs.
Stage 1 with V&H BSS, PC III, and Scramjet air filter.
See if the aftermarket 2007 catalogues come up with a sensible front fender that provides some real protection against road crud.

Drink lots of beer, and dream of the spring & summer ahead

I don't know what you guys who are ****' deep in snow are going to do all winter, but myself, I plan to spend the entire winter riding. I live in SE Texas and winter is three or four months of the best weather a rider could wish for.
My bro-in-law lives in Green Bay and I am convinced that he only has about 3 weeks of summer at most. He agrees with that as well.

Piniongear, I have a brother in Phoenix and I am in GB! That's interesting because my brother dosen't ride in the summer because it gets upwards of 110 degrees, similar to what the South West gets for summer. I guess I would rather have 110 than -20 weather.

Actually we get 4 seasons around here... Mud, humidity, windy, frigid.

Anubisss, You can always wait till it summer when it's around 110 degrees and see what people down in the South West are doing with their time off? If I don't beat you too it! [8D]

Babe, I'll add this to my list... "Drink lots of beer, and dream of the spring & summer ahead" in addition to reading the bike mags.

I'm getting some more ideas already... hate to say it, but, keep 'em coming.

Ok, I havent posted in a long while, but talking mods always gets me excited. I have a nice list already to make my street bob abit more prostreet.

- 11" Black Progressives (418's if avail...if not 412's)
- Flush mount HD gas cap fuel gauge
- Gloss black Hog Pro Daytona's (21 x 3.5 front with a metz 120/70-21 tire and a 18 x 5.5 in the rear with a 180 metz)
- Wide glide tripples in gloss black
- Lowers in gloss black
- V-Rod headlight in gloss black with the mount machined into the upper tree
- Misc powdercoating (rear struts, turn signals, and coil cover)

Should be a busy winter and ive already bought some of the items needed, the wheels and tires will come after i get my tax refund...cant wait!
