You know, man, I love the look of Kpreese's bob with the springer front. However, since I pretty much have to do everything myself (no cash to pay the labor), and he said it took a lot of modifying, I think it's out of the question. Also, my bike isn't as old-school looking as some of the others so I'd have to change my whole theme up to accent the springer front end.

Still, if you're buyin', I'm down with it.
Well if you need some cheap labor, friends are the first ones to call. Take a ride up here and I'll add it to my list of things to do this winter. Better hurry up tho' it's supposed to snow, beginning Wednesday.

Considering:
replacing springs on my Progressive 440's from heavy duty to regular.
I would have to say it's a choice between a more comfortable ride and a high performance, scraping pegs performance change.
You're welcome Phreak! Maybe hit the photoshop forum and ask someone to do a mod for you so you can see it before you do it.

Hey, can you clarify this a little? .... which do you claim to be the more comfortable ride, and which is the high perf scraping pegs?????????
I have the 440 with heavy duty springs now and it seems too stiff. I am right on the line for where Progressive suggests going to the Heavy Duty, so i did. I have since talked with them, and they said I am not the first 220lb person to complain about it being too stiff.
I would say the Progressive 440's are for performance from what you describe. If you were to go with a softer spring you will be getting a more comfortable ride and if you go with a stiffer spring you will be getting a harder ride but the suspension will give you better results at the race track.
Example: If you were to go to a track day they suggest you set your suspension to the stiffest setting.
Phreak, That setup will look great on your bike. The sissy bar support will be well hidden under the seat.
