This may not help you too much...but, I had SE slip on's installed by the dealer and they say it doesn't affect the warranty...of course that isn't in writing....soooooooo

If you are installing 07 SE Legal mufflers, then no, your warrenty isn't affected......
If you install another mfr's muffler, and the chrome goes bad, or they fall apart, HD won't cover it (Unless installed by dealer).....
If the muffler (non-HD) was a direct cause of a failure or breakage of some component on the bike, HD doesn't have to do a warrenty repair (Unless installed by dealer).....
Way too many variables.... Talk to a Service dept that has a positive attitude and reputation, they will tell you what they do and dont cover.....

I know this doesnt help but the dealer where I bought my bikes from said if they install it they will warranty it. Mufflers, AC, maps etc. Thats how they get away w/ the " For Race Application " only statements. Sure they will cover it ... this way they can soak you for another 2-3 hours labor. Good luck, best thing is to call the local dealerships. Or take a chance .. who knows
