Well since it is getting colder here in southern NY when the snow does fly here is a list of projects that have either been started or will be soon:

1- Finish modification, paint and installation of Road King rear fender.
2- Finish modification, paint and installation of ducktail front fender
3- Install lowered front end springs.
4- Install customized rear tail lamp bar and license lights/bracket.
5- Install tool box.
6- Install mscl. chrome trim, doo dads.

Here's what the beginings of the fender mods look like:

Port the heads and maybe some bigger apes. Would like to lower the bike so I'll be looking for some low rider shocks.

Damn dudes, I'm going to have to start searching for a third job to support my habit that I feel forming just reading this thread. I wonder if there's such a thing as B.M.S. (Bike Modifiers Anonymous)?

I am finally giving in and taking the bike indoors till the snow and slop go away, so its time to play.
-solid 11 inch progressive 412s
-progressive front lowering kit
-forward controls
-chrome battery box cover
-chrome coil and fuse box cover
-replace rear fender, not sure which one yet.
-repaint tins and maybe do some old school white flames with red pin striping
-i havnt decided if i am going to do the 95 kit, heads and cams, or i may just do heads and cams. I think it will all depend on cash flow. i have heard some people getting some good results with just doind some head work and cams, we'll see.

CORY- Holy Crap....that is my "to do" list almost. Hey if you are on the Illinios side of STL gimme a PM. I wouldn't mind meeting some bikers in the area. But with the weather like it has been the week of Turkey Day...I will continue to ride.

My To Do list.

Scotchbright all chrome (inclucing rims)

Black Lower forks

SERT (have to buy a laptop for this one)

Find someone who is artistic enough to repaint my tins black....(might just paint them myself until I have all my wrecking out of my system).

Relocate LP

Bob rear fender

Relocate Turn Signals and black them out, possibly go with the small LED ones

New tail light

New mirror (Broke the last ones in the last crash)

That should do it. But right now I am just riding out the last few days. Saint Louis has damn near the perfect weather. By far the best place I have ever lived. Northern Cali comes in a close second.

Whenever I would hit a decent bump, I would hear a metal to metal banging. I read on this forum that it could be the Jiffy stand. I looked at it and sure enough, the rubber bumper was twisted so the Jiffy was hitting the thin part of the bumper and when I hit a bump it was hitting the frame. Plus the kickstand is a little easier to get at now to lower it.
I checked mine today and, sure enough, it was not hitting the rubber bumper at all. In fact, a small ridge behind the bumper had worn in to my frame tube from the jiffy rattling away on it or smacking it when I'd kick it up. I repositioned it and now it's nice and quiet and, like you said, a little easier to get my foot on when I kick it down.
