THE WINTER MODIFICATIONS THREAD
Rudedog...
Well, in the interest of full disclosure I admit that I did not talk about our summers.
The temp can reach 103, and the humidity is always 110% at that time.
Picture yourself sitting at a red light with that engine heat adding to the discomfort! Not a lot of fun.
None of us have the best of all climates, it's just that we have no snow and mild winters......pg

Progressive rear shocks.
Braided fuel and crossover lines.
Chrome battery box band with HD logo.
Change all fluids.
Wax and polish everything.
All small stuff that you never seem to have the time to do. Plus the bike is new and doesn't really need anything.
But, I am building a new Pro Street bike this winter. That should keep me busy.
Just got my new lift and while waiting for my new frame I put my Street Bob up on the lift, Oh my God, what a difference. Changing the fluids, etc. is so easy it's almost fun. (BTW removing the primary inspection cover was a breeze, heard a lot of horror stories.) While I had it up there I found the source of a noise I had this summer. Whenever I would hit a decent bump, I would hear a metal to metal banging. I read on this forum that it could be the Jiffy stand. I looked at it and sure enough, the rubber bumper was twisted so the Jiffy was hitting the thin part of the bumper and when I hit a bump it was hitting the frame. Plus the kickstand is a little easier to get at now to lower it.

This is interesting. I see you've got laced wheels on your bike, are you sending out stock cast wheels? Are you polishing them before shipment? Also the brake calipers will look great after you get them back. I've seen chromed stock calipers and they do look good.

Sending my calipers away to look like this:

I'm getting this headlight that mounts on the top of the bottom tree:
