What frames are enterchangable with the 1999 FXDWG? Is there any that can lower the seat or frame closer to the ground? I've had 5 back surgerys and my *** is closer to the ground. I need a legal straight frame with a title, so to get my bike registered. I bought a recovered stolen bike and someone messed with the vin. number and of course the state thinks you are trying to pull a fast one. To damn simple to just reregister the old frame, they want me to change everthing to another frame. Well if you can help I will appreciate your tim and effort. Thanks John P.S. No hard tail or bobbers, I want the original or close to it.
Sorry I can't help you out with a direct answer, but what's the story on the recovered stolen bike you bought? What year and model is it? Do you have a bill of sale for it? What did you pay for it? How creative are you?
I don't think you will get a lower setup with any Dyna frame.
Dyna frames from 99-03 are the same (not 100% positive, but believe that is correct), 04-05 are the same, and 06-newer are the same.
The biggest change is the neck rake in 06. Not sure about other small changes.
