I am thinking of installing ghost (edge) brackets (or easy brackets) on my '11 Super Glide. I had ghost brackets (now called edge brackets) on my '04 Sportster but never liked the look from the rear. The bags sat out too far from the frame in my opinion; looked goofy, but very functional.
With the Dyna I do not want to repeat that look. How close do the bags sit with these brackets, and which looks better, easy brackets or edge brackets.?
I've seen plenty of photos of Dynas with the brackets and saddlebags but none from the year. Does anyone have a photo of how their bike looks from behind with either of these brackets installed.
I think they are all going stick out pretty good. I just bought some hardstreet slim bags and ez brackets. I went with easy because it seems like they were the preferred one. I have the quick detatch hardware so I know they are going to stick out. If I don't like it, my question would be if you go to hard mount, how long does it take you to detatch. If it's less than 10 minutes with tools, that's not all that bad. If I have time, I'm going to put the brackets and bags on this weekend. When I'm done, I will take some picks.
