Where is a good place to splice-in for power on my 2011 Dyna Superglide Custom?
I would like it to be switched, so it goes on when I switch on the ignition, and it goes off (with no battery drain) when I turn off bike and walk away.
I would like to add some auxiliary lighting, that I want instant on-off, without also having to wire a switch for.
The problem with "key on, instant on" is that you'll be pulling available current to your starter... you really need to have a switch and relay because lighting (LED excepted) draws a lot of power. Have you investigated the accessory pigtail under the seat? That's what it's for. You can pickup the mating plug from Harley for around $15 bucks as I recall.
