It came out in 1980, so it's 26 yrs old, well 27 now that the '07 are out.

question how old is the dyna wideglide?

Better yet, what engine came in the '84 FSWG Wide Glide (note abscence of Dyna nomenclature) and in the FXST Softail that same year?

What engine was in the '85 Wide Glide and Softails?

Dynas were introduced in '91 (as the Sturgis), there was no Dyna Wide Glide in '91 or '92. Then, I have a gap in my catalogs for two years, but there's a Dyna Wide Glide in '95...so could be '93 or '94 for the first one....can't be sure.

Oh, and I think the first Dyna WG was '93.

All I can say is that my Sergeant major has a 94(I think) Wide Glide but his is a Soft Tail not a Dyna. It plays tricks on your mind because there are no rear springs.

When he first told me it was a Soft Tail Wide Glide I thought he just didn't really know what model it was. But it has no springs and is definitely a wide glide with more rake than a soft tail. He says it is stock but i don't know.
