Deuce Wheel on '06 Dyna Glides
Okay, before any says that it can't be done, it has been done by several folks in the forum. Let's leave this post for the solution.
Just got my deuce wheel in. I sent it to the HD shop to get the 1" bearings installed only to find out that the center spacer won't fit. Is there a different deuce wheel for the glides that has the center machined? Do you just leave the center spacer out? I was at the shop with them and they were scratching their heads. I bought the rim from Surdykes and I am waiting for a reply from them. I pm'ed Todd M as he has the deuce wheel on his '06 wide glide. He will have the answer!
I know there are other folks out there with the deuce wheels on their glides! HELP!!
I also saw e-mails that '05 wheels won't fit on an '06. The '05 front axle is in fact a 1". However the wheel is narrower due to the fact that the '06's have wider front ends. I did buy a chrome wagon wheel for an '05 glide for $287 on Ebay ($1200 wheel). The axle size is the same but you will need to buy an '05 rotor and new axle spaces. I think mine were 1 1/8" and 1 1/16". It fits and looks great!
