Default fork oil suggestions for progressive lowering kit ?

I ordered progressive 412s and the front lowering kit and am hoping they come in for the weekend. I was wondering what you who have done it would suggest for replacement fork oil. Thanks. And also with the 11 inch 412s on the back did you drop the front 1 or 2 inchs. I cant wait to get this done and see how it is going to look, i am putting on the full cover 412s, i think it will further the whole old school look.

I ran SE oil when I installed my Progressive Cruise Control front spring / lowering kit. I lowered the front 1", not 2" (the kit lets you do either.) The end result was a MUCH stiffer front end, which took a little getting used to but now I really like it. You might want to run "standard duty", non SE fork oil at first and then decide if you want the front end even stiffer. If you do want it stiffer, replace the std duty oil with the heavier SE oil.

I think the factory recommended weight oil is the way to go. If you follow these threads, and look at the Progressive fork spring installation instructions, they'll recommend the standard weight oil. If it is not to your liking, you can always to go a heavier oil like the SE.

The only problem is harley changed the fork design and now to change the oil you have to take forks apart to drain and fill
