This might be a dumb question but I'm going to ask anyway.
I am trying to install the Big Radius 2 into 2 exhaust on my 2011 Wide Glide. One thing I noticed is the stock exhaust head pipe is tapered and slides into the exhaust port. The Vance and Hines head pipe fits almost flush with the stock gasket that is in the port. Is the Screamin Eagle gasket that is available a little smaller to make sliding pipe on a little easier? If its the same size how do I get it started onto that gasket? I'm also afraid that if I just tighten itonto that gasket that it will smash the gasket and cause a small obstruction to outcoming exhaust. The stock exhaust where it goes into the the exhaust port before it tapers bigger is like 1-9/16" and the Vance and Hines is 1-13/16"
the screaming eagle gaskets are flat... not like the crush type... some pipe manufacturers recommend the screaming eagle gaskets... my rineharts did and i also used them with my lakester 2 inti 1 with zero problems..
just put the gaskets in place and once you put the head pipe with the flange on the studs and tighten it down to spec torque it will adjust itself. That was my experience with it anyhow. Just make sure that you have completely cleaned out the old gasket before installing the new pipes.
