Congrats on the new ride, looks great! IMO stay away from doing the flash, get yourself a good tuner, you'll be happier especially if you plan on more mods.

Welcome to the Dyna family. You made the right choice. Put some thought into what you want the bike to be. It is too easy to just start spending money. I would make a list of mods you want and tackle them as you can afford them. You will be amazed how many options there are out there. Just got my second Harley a couple of weeks ago and I started with grips and pegs.

Congratulations. You made the right choice. I bought my FXDC in April and had no idea which Harley I wanted when I started looking but I definitely wanted a Harley. I sat on them all. I Liked the Sportster but both my wife and salesman said I would be happier with a Dyna because it both looked and rode better. I was skeptical since I had never had such a heavy bike and had not ridden in many, many years. A couple of days was all it took to get used to the weight and now I know it was the right choice for me. The first mod was Screaming Eagle Slip-ons done before I brought it home. The next was Xieds to keep it cool and give some better throttle response. For now that is all I plan on doing but have been thinking about a less restrictive Air Intake. Seems once the mod bug strikes it can be hard to resist.

Thank you for all the congratulations. And yeah on this note I'm struggling to make up my mind. I want to wait to do an exhaust until I can do a full stage I at once and have a choice on 2:1 pipes, thinking about tax refund time.

But I really want to do some slip-ons in the meantime. Don't want to shell out 400$ for the SE, but not alot of guarenteed fit options at the moment. Debating researching the cycle shack universals and how they fit on the 2012 staggered dual. Might go the cosmetic route for awhile as I wait for the aftermarket to catch up. Looking at fox creek bags (for the fit without brackets and having to adapt anything) gonna start researching seats, and debating doing the forwards at the 1K service. (Which should be in about a week at this pace, rain slowing me down a bit)

As soon as the drizzle started today I started detailing her in the garage. God I forgot how much chrome sucks to clean. It's worth it with how she shines, but once I get to a next bike, flat black everything so I can just hose it down. Doing spokes I was reminded of jacking up the front end of my old camaro so I could polish the chrome oil pan.

Sounds like you know what you want to do with the bike. Take your time, research what you plan to do and then look for the deals that are out there and you will come out OK.
