Default La briola setup

I'm gonna install a la briola foot clutch jockey shift setup.

Was cruising their website and there's a few options that I was confused on.

Straight/offset shift linkage...tall/short shifter...etc?

Anyone know the proper setup for an 08 fxdb?

I was gonna call and talk to them but would like to have some info on hand when I call

I'd just call and talk to the guys and tell them what you have they most likely will be able what will fit your bike, and work best. I dig the jockey shift, but it would still have to be a hand clutch on the jockey shift, I just don't dig the foot clutch. Post up pictures though if/when you get it done.

just look at the little lever sticking out the top of your tranny that your shifter linkage is attached to . is it straight or have a dog leg in it ??

Cool, I think they're bitchin. As long as you're doing that you should (I would) put a spool hub on the front and eliminate both levers. Or you could get a master cylinder (from Exile I think) that works like a car and actuates both brakes from the rear pedal.

I don't know which offset you need but the foot clutch/jockey shift idea does sound cool as hell. I'll know you'll keep us updated as you do the project but I'm very interested to hear your reviews.

I've been running a jockey for several years....if you want to save several hundred bucks , its simple to make a bracket , flip your shifter lever over ,make a pedal. the actual shifter is even easier...basically a 15 buck mod if u have access to some aluminum dowel and a lathe.maybe 50 bucks if you have a machine shop help you out

I have been using their set-up for 2 years now on my 07 wide glide, but I don't remember if it was offset or not. I remember when I ordered it they called me the next day and asked me year and model. I would call them and they can answer any of your questions. By the way I received it in less than a week after I ordered it. Pretty good product bolts right on, the only bitch I had about it is you have to remove the exhaust, other than that, pretty simple.

Good to know insatll is relatively simple.

This is gonna be a winter project so turnaround time doesn't really bother me, and as for fab ing up my own, I'm no fabricator and don't pretend to be so instead of taking my chances getting things wrong, I'd rather have peace of mind bolting on a proven badass quality part.

Pics and a writeup will follow, just don't hold your breath haha

not to hijack the thread, but I think it fits the overall theme...

I'm thinking of going to this setup from widowmaker

not sure if I'll like the hand clutch but for $250(which seems relatively cheap compared to the other mods I've done) I can move the lever to a foot clutch if I need to.

I refuse to go with that big tumor on the side of my bike.

Jockey shift flows well. Clean left grip, small shifter, etc.

Why make a change to move sideways? You'll be cleaning up your bars only to clutter up the primary side of ur bike.

The foot clutch hand shift action is very comfortable for me as I've only ever driven manual cars
