That's the next step just making sure I'm not missing anything blatantly obvious.
Looking at the cable more there seems to be a bit of play. Can't get the attachment manager working on mobile but I put a photo album in my profile under the name clutch.
Two photos, one with it pushed flush against the control, the second pulled out till all the slack is out. It almost looks like there is a spacer missing but I can't remember one being there. Does that amount of play look to be normal to just happen overnight? Everything was perfect when I pulled in at 10 last night.
Free play looks about where it should be and when you pull the lever it will close up. Its possible that the oil is just got the plates stuck together. Does the lever have normal feel? With the bike off rock it back and forth in gear and see if it frees up.
Had given it a gentle go just seeing if it was in gear and checking if the clutch was disengaging. I'll go get a little more agressive with it. Got 20 minutes to kill before the dealership opens.
No dice with rocking it. If anyone has a similar model can they confirm there is no spacer stock? I just got off the phone with the dealership, of course this morning is their biggest ride of the year and there is one guy in service today. Asked me if it was secure till Tuesday....
After an empathatic no, he's going to make some calls and call me back in 10.
Anyone know how Progressive's tow coverage is? Deductable, choice of dealership, punish you for using it? Kinda nervous about a flatbed with no idea how to secure a bike showing up and charging me a 75 deductible to take me in the other direction because it's a mile closer.
There;s no spacer - free play looks close to where it should be. Can you start in gear? I bet the plates are just stuck if the lever feels correct when you pull it in.
Started it in neutral to warm it up. Gave a deffinite lurch with the clutch in trying to start it in gear, didn't stay in it till it fired. Didn't seem to help to free it, gonna go try that cranking the break. Maybe lock up the rear cluctch in try to fire it in gear?
If you are saying that cold not started the clutch doesn't seem to disengage then this is normal. Start it in neutral with clutch in. Work the clutch lever a few times then kick it in gear with clutch lever pulled in. It might lurch a bit but that is normal. When warmed up and ran in a bit it is less of a lurch but always a slight pull.
