Need a set, where are they at other than a dealer? ACE hardware cary some thing like this or mail order? Thx
Are you talking about the square shaped spring washers? If so, I would recommend replacing them with the OEM ones, but you might be able to go with a few round waved spring washers and I know my ACE carries them. They are there to tension the peg so it does not flop down so you need a washer(s) with enough tension and not so many that you can't properly tighten the bolt, etc.
I threw mine out. Replaced the passenger pegs with OEM and they wouldn't fit with the washers. Installed without and the pegs flopped around like crazy. Over-torqued the bolts and now they stay put. Gotta pull hard to move them up and down, but it works. Wish you asked a couple of days earlier, I would have sent you mine (even though they were rusted to hell).

I've had to tap a few spring washers into place before, then use a long punch to get them aligned.

Well crap, a bit of rust never hurt I am always a day late. I will run down to the dealership and pay the price for a set, i was just hoping that there was a hardware store alternative. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.
Every 2,000 miles I have to take my rear passenger pegs off and put in a little more bend to put more friction on the rear pegs to keep them from falling down. I never thought about banging them in or forcing them but I guess that would work too.

May not be the best advice, but that bolt is pretty big. Over-torquing them (slightly) should close the receiver up enough to keep them in place.
I made mine out of 6061 T6 aluminum on my lathe and punched it through the center. I torqued the hel out of the bolts and all was well. It works great and does not bind. Without making new centers, it would have been terrible with washers/shims.
