Default Floppy foot peg

One of the passenger pegs on my '05 FLSTN has gotten loose and will not stay up -- not a serious problem but irritating. Any suggestions for how to tighten the fit again?

There's a little piece of spring steel on the same pin that goes thru the peg. They get worn sometimes. I replaced both of mine on the rear pegs.
One of them was cured the other one needed an extra little nylon washer in there to make the spring action tighter. Both stay up solid now.

Was annoying and might make the old lady ask questions, too! LOL
"Why's that peg down!?"
"But, but, but, but,......."

Harly sells chrome bolt kit for pegs, take out the pin with a clip and replace. Also I have tried with putting two of the springs in the mount with no luck. Harly part # 94139-01 or use part # 94133-01 (my favorite). Tighten them till the peg is firm, and they look better than the pins and clips.

yeah - what he said.... but, for a lot less, Lowe's will sell the a stainless steel bolt and a nylon insert nut.
