Default Foot Peg Help

I swapped out my stock passenger footpegs on my 07 fatboy for Kurykans and they don't stay up when I try to fold them up. There is a small thin piece of metal that was in the slot when I took the Harley pegs off. Do I bow this out sot they the Kurykans fit tight too?

Thanks.

Hey Charlestown, that is the tension spring for the footpeg. P.I.T.A. and should immediately be replaced with chrome nut and bolt that can be found at Your Local Ace hardware store ( Most have a Chrome display section with some great hardware ). Just a thought. Not sure if You can see in the photo, but my stirrups are bolted on, as are the highway pegs and the passenger pegs. I had enough trouble fitting that spring in while installing the pegs I just replaced it.....WVleo
