Default Using Streamliner pegs as highway pegs...

If I buy the billet 2 pc 89.99 highway mounts and want to use some Streamliner passenger pegs from the Streetglide as the highway pegs, do I need to buy some chrome bolts to attach them or can you reuse the pin and snap ring that they use now ? They are in the chrome extension mounts now as passenger pegs and they use a pin with snap ring now, that why i am asking...not sure the pin/ring can be reused and the right length etc... thanks!

Not really sure. I bought some 360 mounts for my pegs, and they work well. And I have the streamliner pegs attached to them. If that helps

I answered the question last night.. Dealer said you can use the pin and snap ring that is being used with those pegs now.....but he was wrong. The chrome mounts for the passenger are counterbored for the pin... The highway pegs are not. So....thats why the mounts said you have to buy the 21.00 bolt kit.... So much for listening to the dealer and went and bought the bolts.... Thanks !

You done right, them pins are a hassle and the keepers are a one time deal most of the time. I used bolts on mine, plus you can adjust the tension by the tightness of the nylon lock nut..................you did use nylon lock nuts, right.
