I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for tail light replacements for a 2012 FXDB.
Buddy of mine just picked up a StreetBob and cant turn a wrench to save his life. I've been working on his scoot and cant get over the tail light and how it looks like a giant chrome donkey d1ck.
Checked Kury, Bright *** lights ect... And cant come to a reasonable solution.
man i love the stock tail light but iv just had mine powder coated black (along with the turn signals) to match the fender struts.
iv never thought of it looking like any part of a donkey before.
some love it , some hate it. you could swap out an FXDC rear fender and run the stock tail light if the light bothers you , or you could swap out a side plate mounted light.

It's a modern update of the sparto taillight. The sparto was popular in the late 40's and 50's on custom bikes. The slang name for it was "limp dick taillight."

How'd you get it powder coated how'd you get the light part out of it to get it powder coated I should ask I guess??
Several people have done away with it all together. Just use the two turn sigs as brakelights and use side mount license. Just an idea.
I totally agree about looking like a Donkey D1ck... I agree with Robbie13 about getting rid of it all together. I actually want to do that to my 2007 Bob.. So, Robbie13 what system you using to do that? Any input would be cool!

I know this is an old post, but wanted to see what you went with for your buddy's 2012 StreetBob? I just started in to looking in to changing mine out and wanted to go the route of the BrightAssLights or some other strobing tail light so am researching it now.
