Mine is basically plug and play, Dynojet has preloaded maps depending on your setup and then you just plug in, flash, unplug, ride.
You can do that but then you just could do that with a PCV too. If you have the Power Vision you really owe it to yourself to use the AutoTune Basic on the unit at least to tweak your closed loop programming in your ECM. Pretty easy to do and it really helps fine tune the generic tune that Fuel Moto loads. I got mine about a month ago, loaded the included tune from Fuel Moto, let the ECM learn then recorded a couple scans, used the Log Tuner software and their instructions and let the software suggest the changes to the tables based on the scans. I then uploaded a new tune with those settings and the bike ran noticably better.

Now just to repeat and see if it gets a little closer.

However, this may be more work than the OP wants to do. However, the good news is that the Power Vision and Log Tuner software make it much easier to get your tune almost spot on without the need for a dyno. Without a Dyno or a device with an autotune feature any solution you choose will be a "generic" solution.

They are plug and forget. However, they are also the most "barbaric" solution. They change the voltage coming from the O2 sensors to make the ECM think the engine is running leaner than it really is. The ECM then adjusts like it is designed to do to get the voltage coming from the O2s in the range it is supposed to be in.

Highly recommend talking to Fuel Moto. They had a deal going awhile back for their tuner and SE stage 1 air cleaner. I think that I paid around $350 for both. The tuner will come already mapped and ready to go and if you have any problems with install or the map, Fuel Moto's customer service is top quality! http://fuelmotousa.com/

Go with Fuel Moto you will not regret it. I purchased a PC-V and stage one intake from them. It came pre mapped and runs so much better. Changed from screamin eagle to rush 2.25 mufflers and gave them a call and they sent me a new tune. Great customer service and highly recommended.

I've heard their tech support is great... We'll see.
Good luck with whatever you get.
I bought their EJK tuner, It's all you need for intake/exhaust upgrade. $175 (with veteran discount) & the bike runs cooler, faster & no problems. The customer service is great.

I had XIED's on my stock 2010 FXDC and they did a great job. Added some slip on's (Rush w/1.75 baffles) and had an aggravating decel pop. From what I've read, most people can get by with slip-on's and the XIED's without experiencing decel pop, but I wasn't one of them. Installed a Big Sucker AC and Dobeck TFI and no more decel pop. The unit is adjustable, but leaves all the other functions of the ECM in a stock configuration. My MPG decreased a small amount, but the bike still runs cooler than stock, but with more power. Give em a look.
