Not all Harley have same compression and lot depends on how hard you drive them. However 10% ethanol will not hurt it. Been using it in everything for years in my area. Ran a restored 69 Firebird 100K on it. Do all my own work on everything. mowers and weedeaters are 15-20+ years old. Drive my Harley easy. Actually runs better on mid-grade and gets a slight improvement in fuel mileage. I fill every 100 miles since I use my bike for work with similar 20 mile trips and know what it does. Using too high a octane gas is like shooting a 22 in a pistol as compared to a rifle You are going too loose some power if its too high

100% absolute truth. There is less btu's in ethanol compared to gasoline. No possible way in a conventional motor as we know them can ethanol get better mileage than gasoline.
What about 90 octane ethanol free vs 93 octane with ethanol ? In my area 90 octane is the only non ethanol around while with ethanol is 93
You will get better mileage from the 90 octane than the 93. If the cost is the same or even slightly more for pure gas it would be more cost effective to use the pure gas because the bump in mileage will negate the cost unless it's like a buck more a gallon then there won't be any savings

I have a local gas station where I can get ethanol free mid grade and although I am sure it will run fine in my Harley due to the low compression ratio...
Can I run the mid grade ethanol free in my truck that says it requires premium? I would really rather run ethanol free in it as well, and cant get it in premium locally. I thought the ethanol actually added octane points to the fuel is why I ask.
