Just like underwater (scuba-divers) face masks (goggles); ya gotta spit on them to defog them

Sounds like the seal is letting in moisture........

Silicone won't do anything for you as the speedo is not a sealed unit. As soon as the sun hits it for a few it will clear up. This is something that you will have to learn to live with.

I took mine back to the dealership when it was about a month old and they replaced it. The new one fogs as well. So does the fuel gauge. It is not as bad in a dry climate, but when I ride in the rain it always shows. I may replace these before my warranty is up next summer, but the new ones will probably leak as well.

this has happened on every hd I have ever owned. it will dry out as it gets warmer and drier out. So far it has not happened on my SB but Im sure with the right conditions it would . Seems to be the nature of the beast.

Exactly what the dealer told me about mine... I mentioned getting a accessory HD one, they said it would do the same thing...
I just live with it.

It seemed to happen on every harley that I've owned after October, usually clear up in the spring lol. I don't too worry, could be the weather.
