Exhaust info

Greetings all. I am interested in taking off the stock mufflers and slipon's that came with my 02 FXDL and putting on some new pipes. I just want to know a few things before I do it.

1. I want something that really rumbles and is louder than stock.

2. Do I have to do anything besides change the pipes?

3. Any suggestions on what to get? I was looking at Vance & Hines pro shots

Check into the rush slip ons with the 2.25 baffle, it sounds like a full exhaust system. Rush is a sponsor of this site, just click on the banner

I put V&H Short Shots on mine. Great sound and performance. I also put a SE high flow air cleaner and a V&H Fuel Pak. I've been very happy with it.

What to get? it all depends on the look and sound your after, just about every aftermarket exhaust will be louder than stock, in most cases much louder. On efi models you can you can usually get away with a free-er flowing exhaust without changing the tune.

Buy these from me. 150 shipped. vance and hines stright shot slip ons. minty condition. they are chrome. they just picked up the color from the carpet in this pic. I also have the mounting bracket and needed hardware
