Black will burn off. See my sig pic. Have to admit you look pretty badass at a light with the smoke rising up off of the pipes. I think I would have liked it a little better if they faded to natural color instead of white. Still think they looked good even faded to white. Anyway, got in an accident a couple of months ago. Tore the wraps off. I put new gold colored wrap on. Actually, a pretty good look. Don't have pics to post with the new wrap just yet.
I like black...I have been thinking of doing this until I read all of the Jibber Jabber about the heat they hold making pipes brittle. Now I don't know.

I've had two different Samson pipes crack on me, so they can break without wrap on too...not something that concerns me.
I am very interested as well. I have indy outlaw pipe in raw color. I want to wrap at the step to the connection for the header.
I have already gotten some nice residue from my winter riding pants.. i am thinking titanium because it is close to the pipe color. or maybe I should go black for the contrast. I dont know.
I have also read about pipe becoming brittle from the wrap. I wish I could find out if that is true or not. I would really like to wrap the pipes
i have mine wrapped with black but then also spraid it with black bc i wanted it to stay as black as i could....i know i know i need to get the section right next to the floor board. my buddy wanted to ride it and some how his shoe he was wearing cut the wrap when it rubbed it.
I've heard of the pipes becoming brittle but I think that has to do with moisture being trapped under the wrap rusting/weakening the pipe.
I think as long as the bike is run long enough to burn off any moisture should you get caught in the rain, the integrity of the pipe won't be compromised.
I'm torn on the color. I stayed away from this originally because I didn't want too much black on my bike. I just dono how well the titanium will match.
I might pick up enough of each color to do one pipe...then decide from there.
i went with black which actually looked gray on my 07 SB. The pipe was 2 to 1 Bassani Road Rage (Black). Loved the look but less than a year later the pipe not only cracked but the entire front pipe broke completely off about 2 inched below the front Manifold.
Even though I think it looks great I can't afford a new pipe every year.
