103 Valve/ gasket problems
Sorry if this is early , since I haven't even heard back from the dealer yet, but- Just got my new wide glide in Sept, quickly put 2800 miles on it and it started making a background noise I hadn't heard before. ( like a valve rattle ? don't know) so the service chief listened and said something to a mechanic like " sounds like the other ------ that had bad seals or something like that. Anyone hear of 103 problems like this ? ( my engine is apart and last I heard they were waiting for reply from Co. after sending specs.)

My 2012 wide glide has made a strange noise since day 1. They have riden it several times and say it's normal or it's pinging and they all do it, but it does it in 50 degree temps, which is certainly not ping. Under load, at any RPM there is a crazy erratic rattle from the left, primary side. Guess I just have to wait for it to grenade on the highway

OK so I finally heard back from them (not really, I called them later and got the service manager) and he said it was valve guide seals, and that it was never running right because of that. And that other bikes had problems with their intake seals ( gaskets?) but not mine. So now I might get it back by Wednesday- Ouch. Well, I guess the good news is that if it wasn't running right all along, that means- Holy sh*t, you mean that thing has MORE power ? LOL.
