You sir are absolutely correct. I have a '92 FXLR and a '95 FLHR. Way smoother than the twin cams I rode. I am beginning to think that not many people know or have had much experience with Evo's here.

But then again they came out in '84. I would venture to guess that most people on this forum were shi..... in their diaper back then, if they were even born. Lol... My first bike was a '71 FX that I purchased new from the dealer for 2300.00. Check it out.

I am not impressed at all with the bikes I rode.

After they did this the vibs were practically gone. They did this under warranty.

hey scorpio, no problem. pictures will tell the story better than i can explain it.
you can see in the pic that the rubber it touching the top of the mount. also you can see a small piece of rubber that has been rubbed off because of this. since the dealer shaved it down a bit to give it the clearance it needed, it made a big difference in vibrations.

pictures please! you shimmed only the REAR motor-mount?

I believe he means the front mount. I did this when i was about 500 miles and it did make a difference. At 1000 miles i took it out since it was going to the dealer for the 1k service and i didnt want to hear anything about not being under warranty since i made a change. When i got the bike back i didnt put it back in. Soon after i noticed my front mount collaped a bit and was rubbing the rubber away. The dealer shaved it down so it has the proper clearance. Here is a pic of when i shimmed it with some washers. I to had about 1/4" gap.

You can't blame a Chevy guy. They just don't get out much.
Here's my Chevelle.
