Anyone thought of vibration being an issue with a computer? Just a thought...the backpack on your back, probably doesn't have as much vibration....

Yeah but not nearly as comfortable. Ive had my computer in its bag with all the accessories in the saddlebags several times without problems

I carry a 10" Toshiba Netbook. In fact, use it for my V-tune runs as well. Works great, and small enough to fit in just about anything.

I have this. It is a prefect all around bag. I use it even when not riding for work. Carrys my laptop, iPad, lunch, change of clothes (when necessary for work), etc. When I take the bike to work I toss the detachable sissybar on and strap this to it.

Went to NC on vacation in September for about a week. Stayed at a beach house in Kure Beach and was able to pack for the week in nothing but this bag which was brought on the plane as a carry on.

In the actual laptop sleeve, 15.4" lenovo fit fine. 17"Does not fit in the actual sleeve, but it can go behind it (the sleeve is elevated from he bottom a bit). Currently I tote my work 13" macbook pro in there. I am of the mindset that a laptop should be small and care less for the 17" models. 15 is about max I buy for myself. I have docking stations for when I want a larger screen.

A 13.3 Lenovo x301 or similar thickness laptop fits in my Leather Pros in a ebay neoprene sleeve. The larger laptops are much heavier and wider, and I think the cases are less rigid. If you are worried about vibration, consider a Solid State Drive. I don't think my Sony 15.6 would fit in my Leatherpros since it is much thicker.

For 13.3s the aluminum cased Toshiba seems to be pretty light and durable, but it is really hard to beat a Lenovo x series for a bulletproof laptop.

I made my own motorcycle laptop case, straps and all. I just took a cheapo $25 laptop case and modded it to work with my bike. It works with the sissy bar on and just the solo luggage rack when I go with my solo setup. Been doing it for a few years and never had an issue with any damage.

One thing to keep in mind is rain. A waterproof solution is necessary. I have a plastic bag that I could wrap the laptop in before I zip it up in the case.

Hasn't bothered mine, and it's been on the back of my bike hundreds of times. It's sitting in a canvas or leather bag...suspended a bit. Not like the hard case of the laptop is pressed up firmly against the metal frame of the bike.
