Default red key light issue

well I've got a lil problem, i have no blinkers first off. but sometimes when i start my bike the red key light comes on and stays on. sometimes the bike immeaditally shuts off after i start it. and then sometimes it'll start and then a lil bit into the ride my bike won't idle and you have to keep it revved to make it run if you let off it'll die. i have replaced the key fob batteries just recently and can't figure out what to do. I'm almost positive it is not a short cause there are no wires to short as i have gone to different hand controls and like i said no blinkers

.....anyone

Red key light on means your bike threw a code. Do a code search and you should be able to narrow down the problem

Red key is not a code, the amber engine light is. Red key is your security system. Probably what is causing your problem. The module that controls your turn signals (TSSM) also controls your security system.

The codes under 's' are for your TSSM (turn signal security module). The ones you got are
b1121, b1122, and b1145. They are left turn signal fault, right turn signal fault, and security antenna fault respectively. Sound like a hack job gone bad. Hope this helps.

well i always will and probably always have had those left and right turn sig probs, but a while back i did unplug a module from under the seat and I'm guessing that was the antenna, all is back together and i have also rest the codes. i don't have any turn sigs nor do i have the rear factory taillight. i removed all of that stuff as did i the front and disconneceted the plugs so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a hack job.....

Red key IS a code. You can also have this without security. Amber is a code as well. Red key is associated with TSM or TSSM and engine light usually ECM
