wtfii? please help. 2008 dyna pic enclosed.
what the f is it? so i have been having problems with my clutch adjustment on my 2008 dyna fxd. just before i began to dig into the primary i started having some crazy whinning noise and also my check engine light, batt light, and speedo were going on and off. so when i torn it down i found these little bits inside. any clue. i have been reading about the stator for a 2006, but for my 2008. anyone know what these pieces are?

If you have it torn down, you should be able to see something that is broken or chipped. What exactly do you have disassembled? Those are some pretty large pieces to be floating around in your primary.

Sounds like multiple issues ... loads of trouble.
The pieces look like broken pieces of the race on the tranny mainshaft, also known as the famous Inner Primary Bearing.
Are the pieces magnetic? Are they steel or aluminum?
Pull the primary apart, and look and see what you have going on.
Check the smell of the primary fluid. If it stinks then the stator has been overloaded / shorted and fried, or intermittent.
