Take off rigid sideplates/sissy bar, do turn signals need to be removed? I haven't cracked it open yet, but look at pictures it appears theres a hole that the rear signal wiring runs through.

Not necessary to remove signals, the side bracket is slotted for the wires to pass through

Sorry guys i feel like a dumbass.....I'm midway through the project in an apartment complex so i've just got parts laying in the parking lot.

Both outside torx bolts are removed, the thing wont budge. Is there something else securing the sideplates up under the fender?

There is a bracket inside the fender that sticks through it on each end.

Do you have the bolts out on the inside of the fender at the rear that go into the turn sigs. You do not have to take them off but you do have to take the bolt out that holds them and let them hang. Do one side at a time or your fender will fall down.

I appreciate the response, are they INSIDE the fender, like up under be the wheel or somehow between the sideplate and the bracket. What type of head is on the bolt (allen, phillips, torx?) Thanks.

Feel inside the fender behind the turn sig I believe they are 1/2" wrench.
