just do your research is ride more important than looks, the ohins are mechanically better but look sill with that yellow can on bike, i have prog, for 3 yrs, they are one and a half shorter than stock so ride stiffer but loweres bike, i like style over supstance, its just a personal thing
Forget progressive...go with Ohlin, works, Ricor. Ohlin would be best.
Can't speak personally on the Works but a lot of riders like them. I went with the Ohlins #3 (no exterior reservoir) after being very disappointed with Progressive 440's. Talk to Howard at Motorcycle Metals.
Looks like I will forgo trying to find a deal on the oem shocks and get a good pair of aftermarket. I want the bike back to factory height so I'll be looking for 13.5. I believe the ones on it now are 12in off a Street Bob.
Being a bigger guy (250lbs+) and riding mostly 1up it doesn't sound like the original ones would do me much good anyways. I've looked into the 440s and now I'll check out the Works and Ohlins a little more.
