Just put one on the front after being on Dunlop GT 502f for many years. This is the first time I've expirienced the front having a heavier steering feel after replacing the front tire, even if the rear tire only had a couple thousand miles left on it. I was just wondering if anyone else encountered this. I'm pretty sure I can remedy this by adjusting the ride heigth on my shocks, but I wanted to know before I start screwing with my suspension adjustments.
That is an interesting observation. I can't imagine why the front would have a heavier steering feel only after replacing the tire. Did you go with the same size? Tire pressure set OK? No other changes to the chassis setup? I wouldn't start changing my suspension just because of a tire swap. To me, that doesn't make sense. Perhaps someone else may chime in with a logical explanation....

I don't know about THOSE Dunlops, but I noticed that my bike handled way "lighter" feeling when I switched out the Dunlop 407/408 tires for the Metz ME 880's. The tires, although brand new, felt glued to the road, and yet the same bike felt more maneuverable. Very significant handling improvement.
