Redline Shockproof Heavy is the best lube you can use for your transmission. I went with it at 1K and now at 5.4K, smoother, less noise, becasue it is a synthetic, it pours like a 40W oil, but has the properties of like 120/80....go to the redline site, they talk all aobut it. It's also good for 7500 miles!
Worst thing you can do is run SYN3 in the transmission IMHO...it's too thin! Good stuff for the engine and primary, but NOT the tranny. The factory may recommend it, but the factory would also like you to wear out your bike fast so you can buy another bike from them.....
