Default Xied on Switchback

I put a set of FL-XIED-10's on my Switchback today. Without doing any formal testing I can say there is a definite difference in the way it performs. Certainly not to the level of a SERT or a PC-V, but I can feel a much smoother power delivery, especially between 2500-4500 RPM. It's very similar to the difference I got going from a CV carb to a Mikuni HSR42 on my bobber. Maybe not radical numbers, but a tangible "seat of the pants" improvement for my normal riding style. Overall, it was $115 well spent.

Yep, I'm a big fan...Like you say, not as good as a SERT and a good dyno but for about 700 less it does a great job. For me, I had to get that motor cooled down since I bought my new dyna in July. You know how hot it was in Texas...The performance plus of the XEID's were just a huge bonus. I have the rush slip ons and the big sucker and I know it's getting enough fuel. Maybe after a year or two I'll switch to a tuner but for now, best 100 buck mod out there.

I'm with you, since adding my VIED the seat of the pants crisper throttle is well worth the $100. I'm running stock and that's just the help I needed. Now if I had a full exhaust system and an open AC then I would be going with downloads and the blah blah blah but I'm not.

I have both upgrades and mine are doing great. I did talk to a tuner and he said his target fuel ratio was 13.8 so I was happy

Don't know yet. Just put them on yesterday. When I put XiEDs on an 07 Road King Classic, I lost about 2 mpg. I figured that was a good swap for a cooler running, smoother performing engine.

I have the Rush slip ons and getting ready to go to a different air cleaner. Did you get the HD download or just add the XiED. I've heard some doing it and some not with the setup you have and the one I'm going to. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.

Do not get the harley download, waste of money. The XEID's handle the A/C and exhaust fine. Now if you go into cams, big bores, ect then that's a different story.

I get 40MPG most of the time but do mostly county road riding, the most I've gotten with my set up is 46. I could probably get more but I run it pretty good.
