I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my '07 Dyna. I like to do a lot of twisties and find the stock suspension a little soft. I was running Progressive rear shocks on my Sportster (and Race Tech emulators up front). Any suggestions? Thanks!
simple progressive front & back; for me: 11" rear & 1inch lower in front. also metz's or avon's complete the setup. miles beyond stock dun's you will not be disappointed!!!
I like the way Ohlin rear shocks handle better than progressives...BUT I like the way the progressive 440's look better than Ohlins
I have a 2005 FXDCI....rear shocks are stock height progressive 440's
( do NOT get the heavy duty progressive rear shocks ulness you are over 250 lbs. or ride 2 up )
I have the front end off of a 2005 Dyna SuperGlide Sport model...fully adjustable...wirh SE fork oil
If I did not have that front end I would go with the race tech emulators
as said before....Metzler or Avon tires
also change to the HD polymer handlebar riser bushings.
Racetech gold valves and springs for the v-rod fit our 49mm forks. Makes a world of difference on handling and front end dive. Search Bobcowen, he did an excellent write up.
