Hello all I have a 2012 fat bob and I have a question about replacing baffles on the stock pipes.
I have seen stock exhaust completely gutted and thunder monster baffles used. So the stock exhaust is completely empty except for the thunder monster baffles. As you know they are short and installed into the head pipe.
Q: Without replacing the stock air filter can I simply install xied s to richen up the mixture and not have to remap?
Unless you also gutted the cat converters, you wouldn't need the XiEDs. They may reduce headpipe heat a bit at the expense of MPG, but the cats may run hotter. I think fat bob cats are in the 2-1 collector.
You really don't need to do anything unless you also put a free flow air filter on.
