question to switchback owners
Tom from Connecticut
fat pig in comparison to my FLD
my lady rides a 84 fxr
before we lowered it for her it was unbelievable in the twisties not bad now, but not as good. still better than my FLH or my FLD as far as cornering.
the FL front end on the dyna is a look thing. it is all aluminum so the whole front end is very light
only real piece of steel is the giant fender
the axle is hollow the legs are aluminum the nacelle is aluminum the trees are aluminum the wheel etc. in my opinion it just looks heavy. I know if I were inclined to I could pull this up on one wheel no problemo
especially after it is uncorked and tuned...
this bike handles like a bicycle after 60k plus on the bagger
no regrets whatsoever.
I have a Custom and love the way it rides and handles. My question is how the FL front end on the FLD changes the handling characteristics of the Super Glide based bike?
Having owned Fl based touring bikes myself, I think that the Dyna is a better handling machine, but want to hear what others think. All things being equal, the FLD is the only other Harley I would consider, if the "Dyna feel" is still there.
Thanks for any input....tomp/dd50
you know, on the front end bottoming out, I wonder if the guys who changed out my sliders put the wrong oil in,hmmmm. It seems I'm the only one complaining of that.
