Default Fork tube width for batwing on FXDF Fatbob

Have decided on a memphis shades batwing using HD quick clamps. The problem is knowing what set of brackets to get. Have seen a number of folks that have installed this selection of hardware on different dyna models. The unknown dimension I guess is fork tube width. I want to use a 7" headlight and the FLH style fairing. I just need to know what brackets to get or if I need to make my own. For the other flavors of Dyna's out there, what's the outside width of your fork tubes? Measuring across the OD of the fork tubes at the top of the upper tree is probably the most accurate. If the HD dealer was closer I'd just go out and measure all the dyna models....

Maybe a Fatbob person knows exactly what I need

Thanks in advance folks

If you want to use Memphis Shades mounting system use Part #: 2320-0031 (polished) or Part #: 2320-0084 (black). Part #: 2320-0039 (polished) 2320-0068 (black) are the mounting plates only, you might be able to modify these to use HD quick clamps. You want a Batwing for the Softail or a Road King if your using a 7" headlight. The width of the Fat Bob forks is the same as the Wideglide.

Stew, none of your part numbers match any HD numbers at Memphis Shades site.

You use Memphis Shades mounts for their Fats/Slim Windshield to an FXDWG 06-11. The Wideglide and Fat Bob forks are the same width. I used Fats/Slim mounts to put a batwing on my Superglide since I have a 7" headlight. I am currently collecting parts to mount Fat Bob forks with Wideglide trees to my bike. I plan on using Fats/Slim mounts for a Wideglide to remount my Batwing.

i am putting on a FatBob set of trees on my 2005 using my 49mm/conversion forks. I wish the extra width because of using a wide glide set of carbon fiber wheels. I hate my 19" front wheel and has to go.

Do you have any pictures of the 7" headlight on your FatBob so I can see it? Thanks.\

I am putting on hard glass saddle bags and maybe either a bat wing or windshield as this is my "guest" bike. When friends come to visdit they like to ride a bike. We can than go on local trips such as Key West for a few days.

I don't have a Fat Bob front end on my bike yet. Here's what I plan to do. I wanted twin discs on the front and I studied the different options including the Vrod setup. what I am going to do is use a set of Wideglide trees (because of the rake and they are the same width as the Fat Bob) and a set of Fat Bob lowers. I picked up a pair of Fat Bob wheels complete with rotors and pulley off of a 2012 Fat Bob from another forum member. I also have a pair of Vrod calipers I want to use. I do have a 7" Headwinds Tomahawk headlight on the bike now (see attached photos). I will be running my Memphis Shades Batwing and converting my headlight to HID using Motorcyle Metals Kit I bought a couple of years ago because I can mount the hardware to the fairing brackets. I don't know when this will get done, I still have a few things to get.

You can not use it with a set of Fat Bob lowers.
There are people who have done it but the pads hang over the rotors. Use V-Rod lowers only for this..
