Hey guys,
haven't been on here for a while so thought I would fill you guys in (for those who recall me) on what's going on.
Turns out my TBI was pretty bad and the docs have only just cleared me to drive.... no riding yet (brand new 11 fxdb still sitting in my garage! argh its pissing me off! i wanna ride!!!).
Looks like I'll be able to ride in a few more months as long as my TBI cooperates.
May have to go in for shoulder surgery later on, still waiting to find out about that, having severe back issues which they are playing around with to see what my options are (really dont want to have back surgery).
Hearing is still kind of messed up and that's here to stay.... spend all that money for loud pipes and now i won't even be able to hear them :P
Hope all you guys are doing good.
i don't know you man but i wish you luck. people who are healthy and have never had an accident or been laid up tend to take being healthy for granted. i hope you get well soon and are back on the road. just take it really easy for a while, ok?
Don't worry, you'll hear those pipes...I guarantee you on that one. Look at the bright side, you at least got cleared to drive a cage. Your one step closer to riding that new bike but you are going to take the MSF course first, right? The last thing you want to do is get cleared to ride and lay it down, that would be too sad, wrecked bike and more rehab.
In the mean time...lets get together and do something. You still staying at BMAC or you in Austin? Are you keeping that battery charged? Let me know if I need to come and ride it....sorry couldn't resist.
I know it seems like forever, but you'll get there. I'm just glad you came home in one piece, coulda been a lot worst.
Have you got together with any of your friends that came home in your division?
Rooti thanks, yeah I've got her battery charging. I'm still at BAMC (will be there for quite a while).
I'll give you a call after new years and work something out.
I'm going to look at taking a month of leave once I'm cleared so I can get the MSF course done again and then get on my baby and get used to riding her.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts guys.
