Default Antiseize

I am going to install my new pipes tomorrow. I am planning on using the copper colored high temp antiseize for the exhaust bolts and oxygen sensors.

This is what I need right?

Thanks.

Copper antiseize is the stuff to use, you only need a light coat. I use it for spark plugs as well.

In my view, you're not likely to go wrong using most any high-temp anti-seize for those purposes. I just use the silver Permatex.

If you use anti-seize on the exhaust, you may want to think about putting 2 nuts on each stud. that'll keep 'em from backing off. works for me.

best wishes...Tim(HT)

Also...put a bead on header/pipe joint to prevent leak(s) right @ pipe clamp. I squeeze a ring out inside pipe & smear w/finger - makes nice/tight seal.

I purchased long nuts that cover all the stud thread so I didn't use anything.
I used new graphite exhaust gaskets.
Anti-sieze is ok for the pipes connections but I would use the blue loctite or nothing on the studs.
Double nutting is ok if you have the length.

any metal bolt that threads into a piece of aluminum that does NOT use a heli coil should be treated with anti-sieze. metal to metal should have locktite. use sparingly only on the first few threads and wipe off excess.

Using loctite on the exhaust flange nuts will not accomplish much of anything, as hot as those get it I doubt it would ever fully cure to give you any benefit. You guys do realize you use heat to loosen bolts that have real good loctite on them right?

I use locktite blue myself. Those little nuts just seem to have a way of loosening and falling off. After locktite those little critters stay on. IMHO

That just makes common sense right there.
