Well.... Antiseize is mostly intended to be use in applications where there is dis-simular metals, i.e. steel sparkplugs into aluminum heads, stainless steel into heli-coils, and such.

The Moco recommends not useing antiseize on the head-pipe studs.

From my personal experience I've found using it is better. However then they are likely to vibrate loose. That is why previously I recommended 2 nuts per stud. It keeps them from backing off.

What ever works for you...It's all good.

I tried installing them dry and re-torquing them, and after 2-3 days checking them, they did stabilize. But I still wasn't confident they would stay.

What the he!!, put on the antiseize. It makes them way easyer to remove.

Just my $.02

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

re torque on the exhaust studs is critical even if you double nut, use locking bolts, etc. good advice for sure.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.

I had considered the fact that as much as my Dyna shakes it may be a bad idea. I'm installing the pipes tomorrow so I guess I have the whole night to think about it.

Of course, I bought beer...so maybe I had better think about it now!

For sure.... Once they stabilize..... put on the other nut ,and lock it down. They're not going anywhere.

Best wishes, and Happy New Year!! Tim(HT)
