Default Just painted my Dyna engine...

So, I got tired of reading all these posts where people were talking about painting... Some did, some...Who knows? So I just spent the last 6 hours painting my engine, transmission, forks, a/c, horn, etc... Here are some before and afters...

Before:

Before (in the rain)

Now, I have a bunch of pictures from the 'during' phase, but I'm beat... I don't feel like battling with them... So- here's the afters.

After:

After (I'm not sure if I like the horn or not, might take it back to chrome)

Yeah, I just went out and took the horn back to chrome. I like the two-tone look. On the A/C, Horn, and forks, I just used Plasti-dip. It's a preliminary test, if I decide I don't like it, I'll take it off... Glad I did when it came down to the horn.

The engine on the other hand... I just used BBQ Grill paint. Yup. Went to go get the H-D wrinkle paint, and guy at the stealership was a dick, so I decided to just go with Lowe's.

They are dick's, dude. Remind me of tattoo artist...

I assume you just wrapped the pipes etc to paint it? No stripping it down?

Yeah, only things I removed were the entire a/c assembly, horn, and plug wires. I disconnected the fuel line, just to get it outta the way.

I wanted it dull, otherwise I would've used something semi-gloss or satin.

Cheap? That it was. Maybe $30 invested...besides, it's just a bike, it's not like I tattooed 'White Trash' on my sons face.

Bad *** I think it looks good. You're the second person I've seen do this so far. Gives me another option to my never ending change of mind as to what I'm going to buy, lol.
